The co-stars became incredible friends while filming the comedy, so the 42-year-old Aussie actress jumped at the opportunity to show Drew around her local haunts in Sydney ahead of the Australian premiere of their film this week.
On Tuesday Toni took the Charlie's Angels star to the iconic Icebergs restaurant, which overlooks the stunning coastline of Bondi, for a girlie lunch.
Drew looked fabulous channelling 1920s chic in a silk drop-waisted dress, accessorised with a string of pearls (Chanel, of course!). While Toni cute a sleek silhouette in fitted black pants teamed with a green plaid-print, high-neck top.
The fashionable duo then hit the shops in Double Bay before retiring back to the Langham Hotel in the Rocks.
Drew and Toni will hit the red carpet for tonight’s National Breast Cancer Foundation charity screening of Miss You Already at the State Theatre.
Miss You Already follows the friendship between the fiery Milly (Toni Collette) and the more down-to-earth Jess (Drew Barrymore) after the former is diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
Drew revealed on UK chat show, Lorraine that she came on board the project after Toni wrote her a letter, asking her to join the film.
"I did just have a baby, it was a very inconvenient time but I just fell love with this thing," she explained, before adding: "This film is about how you loved someone."
"The point of this is to hold on tight to people that you love," Drew mused.
