Whilst the dust has settled on our new look line-up of panellists on The Project, new host Sarah Harris is reportedly struggling to cope with her new weekly interstate commute to Melbourne where the news and current affair program is filmed.
According to insider sources at Channel 10, the novelty of travelling from Sydney weekly has worn off for Sarah who is a single mother of two young children.
Speaking with a Daily Mail reporter, an employee of the network said that Sarah’s extensive time away from sons Paul, 6 and Harry, 4, was ”taking its toll.”
”The novelty is wearing off a bit.”
Sarah is reportedly struggling to be away from her two young boys every week for so many days.
(IMAGE: Instagram)Unfortunately for Sarah, it is unlikely that she will be able to have a say over filming times and given the show is recorded live and with an audience each evening in South Yarra.
What is more likely at this stage is that Sarah relocates to Melbourne to cut down on the commute.
She is currently on-air Sunday to Thursday evenings. It is unclear whether she flies down and back to Sydney each evening, or she spends her five evening working week away from her children, returning home to Sydney for weekends.
Sarah is also believed to have recently re-signed a new, long-term contract with Ten making us believe that a move to Melbourne is the likely scenario.

Live on Studio 10, Harris shocked viewers with the news of her new role in December 2022 ”I’m beyond excited to be joining one of Australia’s most iconic and agenda driving shows. The Project does news like no other program in Australia and it’s exactly the kind of fun and fearless TV I love to make.”
Sarah joins longtime host Waleed Aly as a ‘mainstay’ on the news and current affairs program.

The team at Studio 10 also posted their own sweet tribute to social media, sharing their well wishes for their golden girl.
