20 years later and Rebecca Gibney still feels like the “luckiest” woman to be married to her husband, Richard, as they mark their anniversary

They say the foundations of a successful marriage need to be built on trust, respect, and admiration, but whatever Rebecca Gibney and her husband Richard Bell’s secret is, it must be working because the couple is celebrating their 20th anniversary today.

The Back To The Rafters star has taken to her Instagram to mark the monumental occasion with an incredible photo gallery of her most cherished moments with her husband over the years.

She also shared some special images from her wedding, and she revealed that her sleek and beaded dress was designed by her long-time friend and Celebrity MasterChef co-star, Collette Dinnigan.

It appears that Rebecca wore her wedding dress to renew her vows, and she posted an emotional image of herself on the verge of tears as she held Richard’s hand during the ceremony.

The carousel she has put together is the sweetest celebration of the life they have shared. And to express the strong emotions she is feeling today, she penned a heartfelt caption.

“20 years ago today this happened. What a magical wonderful day it was,” she began.

“What a magical wonderful day it was. I am the luckiest because you big R are all the things. Happy Anniversary my love ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ ( ps dress by @collettedinnigan 🙏🏻.”

The 56-year-old’s comment section quickly filled up with messages of admiration for the star and her successful marriage.

Actor Sara Wiseman commented, “Dreamboats. Then and now. Hugest congratulations you two. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

A fan wrote, “❤️ happy anniversary ❤️ your dress is gorgeous!” and another shared, “Happy 20th Anniversary! Wishing you many more years of love, happiness, good health and good fortune! 🥂❤️.”

Richard and Rebecca share 17-year-old son, Zachary, and in anticipation of their anniversary, Rebecca posted a tribute dedicated to her husband on Instagram.

“When you find old pics of when you met your husband, and it makes you go all gooey inside. I’m a lucky woman. 20 years married in November to the kindest (clearly incredibly handsome) gentle giant on the planet. Love you big R,” she penned.

In 2017, the star told Yahoo that “respect” is key to their lasting relationship, as well as regular date nights.

“You must respect each other, it’s having complete and utter respect above all else and obviously love and being willing to compromise which is what we’ve always done,” Rebecca said.

“We are quite lucky because we work together a lot, so we are on the road a lot, and quite often, we’ll find ourselves in beautiful hotels or amazing places for dinner, so it’s easy to keep the romance alive.”
