It’s been three months since the heartbreaking passing of Jaimi Lee Kenney, daughter of Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny was announced.

The tragic news left the country in shock – Jaimi was just 33-years-old at the time. And when a person with such a deep significance and importance to someone dies suddenly, it leaves a hole deeper than anyone can fathom – time becomes redundant.

As Lisa Curry has put it – the healing process will continue to be a journey, with no guarantee of length.

In a beautiful Instagram tribute, the former sporting star Lisa shared an old unseen picture of herself and her daughter bathing in the sunshine.

Jaimi is beaming into the camera while Lisa holds it above their faces.

“3 months… it feels like yesterday. Missing my baby girl,” wrote Lisa.

The post was immediately flooded with comments from Lisa’s followers and friends.

“Sending you lots of love and positive vibes Lisa. l couldn’t imagine how hard it is to lose a daughter or son,” wrote one.

Another added: “Like twins 🌻🌻 sending you hugs and healing.”

Jaimi passed away in September this year.

In the emotional days following Jaimi’s death, Lisa penned another beautiful tribute to her daughter, writing: “Our hearts are completely broken. So loved. So beautiful. So kind to everyone…. So painful. I can barely breathe.”

“Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself. Her love of flowers, cooking, art, decorating, photography, babies, the beach, and helping others will always be remembered.”

“Our hearts are broken and the pain is unbearable but we cherish every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured and so loved first child.”

Lisa has been vocal about the healing process in the months after her daughter’s tragic passing.

Lisa shared a final line that summed up her love and grief for her daughter.

“I just can’t believe you’re not here anymore. I sit and just shake my head. It doesn’t seem real or right. You will forever be with me in my heart Jaimi. I love you so much.

Jaimi’s family said Jaimi passed away due to a long-term illness, with the 33-year-old peacefully passing at the Sunshine Coast Hospital in Queensland.

“Our hearts are broken and the pain is immense but we must move forward cherishing every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured first child,” her father Grant Kenny wrote at the time.

The tight-knit family have understandably been processing the grief since, but they were given something to smile about in November when their second eldest daughter, Morgan Gruell welcomed a second child, named Taj, with her husband Ryan Gruell.

At the time, Lisa shared a beautiful update with the new bub, writing: “So beautiful Morgan and Ryan… congratulations on your littlest edition to your family. As your family grows so does your love. Flynn is being the best big brother already. We love you all so much xxxxx. Welcome to the world Taj,”

Lisa shared a beautiful picture with her family’s newest addition, Taj.

The family’s new addition is undoubtedly bringing joy to the family, especially as Christmas draws nearer.

Indeed with endings certainly come new beginnings – and while sometimes that can be difficult to grasp, and take all the time in the world process and heal from, there will always be another reason just around the corner to smile – even just for a moment.
