Former children's entertainer Lauren Brant has revealed her beloved sister-in-law Sandra Brant passed away on Thursday, March 4 at just 41 years old.
In a touching Instagram post, the mother-of-two paid tribute to Sandra, who was given just two years to live in June last year after an aggressive and incurable type of bowel cancer returned for a second time.
"Always In Our Hearts. At 10.20am on 4 March 2021, our beautiful Sandra Rosemary Brant, grew her wings at the young age of 41," Lauren's tribute began.
"Sandra lived, always with the most beautiful smile, and acted on what brought her heart joy."
"She absolutely loved her husband Tyron, son Connor and daughter Allegra, with her whole being."
"Sandra was strong and graceful through her suffering and inspired us all," the 32-year-old, who shares sons Miller, three, and Houston, one, with partner and former AFL player Barry Hall, continued.
The former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star went on to reveal Sandra, who leaves behind a daughter and a son, passed away in her husband's arms.
"She took her last breath in her husband's arms, her favourite place in the whole world, and is now finally at peace."
"For those who have been blessed to know Sandra, have been touched by an Angel. Rest In Peace and enjoy your wings gorgeous girl."
The tribute was accompanied by a beautiful image of Sandra kissing her husband in a field of sunflowers.
Sandy, as she was affectionately known to friend's and family, married Lauren's brother Tyron after they fell in love at high school.
The singer first revealed Sandra had been diagnosed with third stage bowel cancer in July 2019.
"Life is so precious & so unfair," she said at the time.
After two surgeries, Sandra received several blood transfusions, had biopsies and was put into an induced coma.
She gave another update on her sister-in-law's health in March 2020, when things seemed to be looking up.
"There are some situations in life where you just have no words... and the fact that you, @sandrarbrant - absolutely kicked cancer in the butt with such effortless positivity - has brought me to one of those moments! I'm just so thankful that we have you, for who you are & for all the lessons you have taught me 🌻 I love you so much #cancerfree," the children's clothes designer said at the time.
However tragically in June last year, the family's world was turned upside down when they were told the cancer had returned.
We are sending so much love to Lauren and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
