Justin Bieber, one of the most followed celebrities in the world, has deleted his Instagram account.

The singer had reportedly previously threatened to get rid of his accounts if fans didn’t stop saying nasty things about his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

And it looks like Justin has followed through, with his account previously showing 77.8 million followers having completely disappeared from the social media platform.

According to the Daily Mail, the pop sensation initially changed his account settings to private, before making them public again, and then changing his mind and deleting it altogether.

Justin Bieber is not happy with fans.

The backlash from fans apparently started the second he switched his account to private.

“In the moment you went private you lost many fans,” one follower complained.

“And now we are leaving you,” another disgruntled fan added.

Fans smashed the singer for posting photos, including this one, of his new girl Sofia.

Initially, the What Do You Mean singer had posted a message to fans to lay off his girl.

“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand,” he wrote.

“If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

Even his ex, Selena, weighed in on the PDA.

Meanwhile, Justin’s ex Selena Gomez has apologised since the account’s deletion, seemingly for the part she played in the drama.

“What I said was selfish and pointless,” the brunette pop star confessed on Snapchat.

The 24-year-old had previously taken a swipe at her ex on the social media platform.

Is it too late now to say sorry?

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you,” she’d said.

Their online war of words quickly spiraled out of control, with both the singers seeming to hint at the other one having cheated during their relationship.

Justin was quick to respond. “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way,” he wrote. “Sad. All Love. I’m not one for receiving hate.”

Meanwhile fans are already betting that he will reinstate his account by the weekend.
