In the world of celebrity hook-ups and breakups, who you do and don’t follow on Instagram may as well be accepted as scientific fact.
If a celeb decides to unfollow their romantic partner on the ‘gram, as Jimmy Bartel and Nadia Bartel both did just a few months ago before publicly announcing their split, you can pretty much say for certain that the relationship is over.
And the same goes for any new love interests celebs start following – a click on the follow button means things are clearly heating up.
So eagle-eyed followers of ex-AFL star Jimmy, who split from Nadia, the mother of his children, in August, have noticed something very interesting about his recent Instagram activity.
Jimmy has started following his new girlfriend, Melbourne woman Lauren Brand, on Instagram.
The stunning blonde is also following her new man on the socials, after the pair reportedly started dating a few months ago.

As you can see from the images below, Lauren has become one of Jimmy’s 123,000 Instagram followers.

(Credit: Now To Love)Around August, Nadia and Jimmy unfollowed each other on Instagram and have both been spotted out and about without their wedding rings since announcing their breakup.
Nadia, who has two sons with Jimmy, Henley, 10 months, and Aston, three, said she was “heartbroken” by the split.
“It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys,” Nadia told The Herald Sun at the time.
“Although I’m heartbroken, I don’t want to comment specifically on what’s been reported about Jim’s trip to the UK as I don’t think that is in anyone’s interests,” she said, referring to reports that Jimmy travelled to London to be with Lauren, who is based in the UK capital.
“My single focus now is to continue to protect, care and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter. I am so thankful for my very supportive family and friends.”

Jimmy also addressed the split in August and has not denied the cheating allegations.
“It’s not great, but I am probably not going to provide any commentary on it,” he told Melbourne radio station 3AW.
“I know I am in the public eye and people are interested, but it is a private matter and I ask for a bit of respect because obviously Nadia and the boys (are) involved.
“I still enjoy coming to work and I love working with everybody in football. I love the game so I can’t see why I wouldn’t keep showing up for work.”
Since the split was announced, Nadia and Jimmy are no longer living under the same roof.
