Janet Jackson speaks out following pregnancy announcement

And the starlet is taking the opportunity to thank thanking her fans.

Sharing her first tweet since August, the mum-to-be penned, “Hey you guys.. It’s been awhile.. but I’m still listening.. I feel your love and prayers.. Thank you.. and I’m doing well.”

Before concluding, “Al Hamdu lillah,” which is Arabic for “Praise be to God.”

The 50-year-old is expecting her first child with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana.

The songstress alluded to her exciting news back in April after saying she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour because she and husband were “planning a family.”

Janet went on to confirm she was indeed pregnant in August, gushing, “We thank God for our blessing.”

A close family friend told People that the Jackson legend can’t wait for motherhood.

“She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well. She actually feels very good about everything,” they said.

In 2012, the starlet secretly tied the knot to the billionaire businessman, now 41, but didn’t confirm the news until early 2013.

Her older brother, Jermaine, 61, sang his sister’s praises, saying, “She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict.”

While there’s no official word on when Janet will give birth, an insider told E! News that “she is due very, very soon,” adding that she “can’t wait to have the baby.”

And it looks like the Rhythm Nation singer will play homage to her late brother, Michael Jackson.

Janet and her 41-year-old beau are considering baby name options, but no matter the gender it will “have something to do with Michael Jackson.”
