Happiness at last: Morcombes welcome new baby

Daniel Morcombe's twin Bradley Morcombe has welcomed his first child.

The Australian Women’s Weekly is thrilled to announce that Daniel Morcombe’s twin brother has become a father.

Bradley and his wife Anna welcomed their first child, a boy, on Friday morning.

Mother and baby are doing well and the entire Morcombe family is thrilled to have something to celebrate, 12 long years after Daniel was abducted and murdered.

“Since Daniel’s disappearance, we had to focus on the positives in our lives just to get by,” Denise Morcombe told The Weekly. “And now we have something as wonderful as a new baby to look forward to in our family.”

Bradley and Anna announced her pregnancy in the April issue of The Weekly, sharing their excitement about their new arrival.

“We are both ecstatic about the prospect of becoming parents,” Brad said at the time. “It’s something we have dreamed about for a long time.

“But for me, there’s not a single day that I don’t think about Daniel. I know that Daniel is still with me, in my heart and in my thoughts. And he always will be.”

Brad and Anna wed in a simple private ceremony on the Sunshine Coast last August, but the pair has known each other since attending high school together.
