George and Amal Clooney add a pup to their growing family

Welcome to the Clooney family, Millie!

They’ve been married for a little over a year, but it seems George Clooney and his wife, Amal, are already expanding their family by adopting!

A dog, that is.

George, 54, and Amal, 37, added to their little family by adopting a four-year-old basset hound mix named Millie.

The cute pooch was adopted from a rescue shelter in LA, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, and will join George and Amal’s current two pups, Louie and Einstein, who are both cocker spaniel rescues.

“It was a happy day at the shelter for Millie!” wrote the website of Millie’s adoption.

“Millie was found without a home and hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month,” it read.

“Today her luck changed for the better when she was adopted by George and Amal Clooney,” read the article, “They were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder.”

“They did a ‘meet and greet’ with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie. It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together!”

“Congratulations to the Clooney family and thank you for adopting!”

Although Millie, Louie and Einstein might be George and Amal’s only ‘children’ for now, sources close to the couple still suggest they’re looking to have a baby of their own soon.

Amal and George were married on September 27th last year at Ca’ Farsetti in Venice.
