Wanted actress Geraldine Hakewill proposes to her partner

Congratulations are in order for Geraldine Hakewill! The Wanted and Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries star just proposed to her partner.

The Australian actress took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her followers.

“I love this particular man very much,” she wrote. “I proposed to him the other day and he said yes. Lucky me.”

Of course, Geraldine isn’t the first female celebrity to propose to their partner!

It’s becoming more and more common for women to – sometimes figuratively, sometimes literally – drop down on one knee and ask the important question.

The Good Place and Frozen actress famously proposed to her husband, Dax Shepard, on Twitter.

The duo first becme engaged in 2009, but pledged not to marry until everyone legally could. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense Of Marriage Act and legalise same-sex marriage, Kristen tweeted Dax.

“Dax Shepard will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove,” she tweeted him in 2013. The pair wed in an intimate courthouse ceremony later that year.

The famous singer proposed to her husband, motocross champion Carey Hart, by holding up a sign that read “Will You Marry Me?” during a race in 2005. She held up a sign saying “I’m Serious” on the next lap.

The couple tied the knot in 2006, and are now proud parents to Willow Sage, 8, and Jameson Moon, 2.

Iconic designer DVF revealed she proposed to her husband, Barry Diller, for his birthday one year after repeatedly turning down his proposals before.

Per O Magazine, Diane called him and said, “You know, if you want, for your birthday I’ll marry you.” He responded “Let me see if I can arrange it.” They wed in 2001.

The highest paid TV show host, and an all-round legend, Judy popped the question to her husband, Jerry Sheindlin, in 1978.

“I said to him, ‘Where is this relationship going?’ And he tried to weasel out of it, with his, ‘Well, you know, why do we have to get married?’ Whatever,” she told DuJour.

“He finally capitulated. I told him to pick a date. He picked Flag Day.”

The Five Feet Apart actress proposed to Jane The Virgin star Brett Dier when he was in the middle of telling a story. The couple, who’ve been together seven years, became engaged in April 2018.

“I asked him to marry me!” she revealed on Busy Tonight. “Neither of us are like crazy romantic people, so nothing was planned.

“He was sitting there eating a pizza and he was telling me a joke that Shia LaBeouf had said in an interview, and he was like pretending to be Shia LaBeouf explaining this joke and for some reason I just cut him off and was like, ‘Wanna marry me?'”
