Erica Packer has landed in Sydney today, narrowly missing her ex-husband’s rumoured love interest Miranda Kerr, 31, who was flying out of Sydney this morning.
Erica arrived in Australia just days after her former husband James Packer was caught in a physical altercation with the pair’s lifelong friend David Gyngell.
The 36-year-old-model, who split from the media mogul in September last year, arrived with her daughter Emmanuelle following a long-haul flight from Los Angeles.
As exclusively reported inWoman’s Daythis week, Erica is currently dating Melbourne actor Kick Gurry.
“It seems like they’ve been mates a while but things have shifted,” a source said. “There’s no doubt he’s keen but from what I can gather, they are both taking things slowly.”
While a Channel Nine news van parked near James’s palatial Bondi mansion is said to have been the main reason for the brawl, Erica’s new romance is said to be part of the reason James and David came to blows in Bondi this week.
Erica is understood to have turned to Channel Nine boss David and his wife, Weekend Today presenter Leila McKinnon for support after the divorce eight months ago.
Erica and Kick planned on “keeping things private” becauseOffspringstar Kick is said to be “sh** himself” about James finding out.
While Miranda and James have been linked romantically, Miranda has said she is not dating anyone at the moment.
