Except this party just happened to be Rihanna’s exclusive Met Gala after soiree, held at the swanky nightclub 1OAK in New York.
Onlookers claim Eddie was pretty peeved after he was turned away.
According to the MailOnline Eddie and his wife Hannah Bagshaw, who share 11-month-old daughter Iris, weren’t let into the bash as the venue was overcrowded with stars.
“The club was incredibly overcrowded so the door staff were having to turn lots of people away on the night,” a source told the publication.
Witnesses claim The Danish Girl actor was far from impressed and was pictured speaking on his phone looking rather miffed.
Rih Rih’s VIP bash was so popular, A-list names like Eddie were turned away.
Bonus points to Hannah, who reportedly tried to have a second crack at getting into the party with her pal Tom Sturridge about half an hour later but to no avail.
Earlier in the night Eddie and his wife, who tied the knot in 2014, stunned on the Met Gala red carpet.
The Fantastic Beast favourite opted for a dapper navy suit while Hannah dazzled in a sparkling purple frock.
A-listers who did make the cut included Kate Hudson, Katy Perry, Madonna and Halle Berry.
E! News reports that host Rih Rih “danced her way through the club, greeting guests as she made her way to her booth.”
