So that’s where he gets it from! Proving great genes (and sixpacks) run strong in this family, Chris Hemsworth was joined by his dad Craig for a surf in Byron Bay recently.

The world owes a lot to Craig and Leonie Hemsworth. Together, the down-to-earth couple from Phillip Island, Victoria, are responsible for raising two of Hollywood’s most sought after stars – Chris and Liam Hemsworth.

And it looks like the Thor star still shares an incredibly close bond.

Last year, Liam revealed one of the first things Chris did once his career started to sky-rocket was pay off his parent’s debt.

“He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: ‘I don’t know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I’d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared,'” Liam said in an interview with The Independent.

“They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us. I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that,” he added.

Craig, who lives in Phillip Island, enjoyed a surf with his son Chris, 32.

From a young age, the Hemsworth brothers were all taught to surf – it’s a passion they inherited from their father.

The actor takes a moment to check the surf.

It’s clear great genes (and sixpacks) run strong in this family.

After his dip, the father-of-three stretched out on the boot of his ute.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, are living the life in a $7 million pad on the idyllic Seven Mile beach in NSW with their daughter India, three, and one-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.

“This is the place I want my kids to grow up, the world I want them to be part of,” Chris revealed of raising his kids in Australia
