The Project’s Carrie Bickmore and Kate Langbroek are hilariously photobombed by a “handsome creep”

Last night on The Project, Carrie Bickmore was joined by her friend and recurring guest host, Kate Langbroek.

The women were as talented as always during the program when they discussed all things Sydney lockdown, soccer, and the upcoming MasterChef grand finale.

They clearly had a blast because both ladies posed for a behind-the-scenes selfie together in the backstage dressing room.

However, before posting, Kate noticed a third person had unwittingly snuck into the gorgeous picture.

She pointed out her find in her caption, “Heya @bickmorecarrie – who’s the handsome creep behind us????.”

The “handsome creep” wasn’t so menacing as it was none other than their co-host and comedian Peter Helliar.

Fans noticed that something odd was happening to Peter in the makeup chair, with some asking if he was getting his hair curled because it appears like a curling iron is being held to his head.

Which wouldn’t be suspect to speculation if Peter had longer hair, but his thin blonde mane is far too short to put a curling iron to it.

One fan commented, “Are they curling Pete’s hair? 😂,” but other followers were more interested in how wonderful Carrie and Kate looked, “You both look perfect tonight 😍😍,” wrote a fan.

Carrie received the same love for her post, which featured the same selfie and her nightly shot from behind the news desk.

She shared her adoration for Kate by captioning her post, “TUESDAY night is @katelangbroek night @theprojecttv 🥰.”

Her comment section flooded with kind words, with one fan writing, “You guys are the best! So grounded, lovely, and fun😊,” and another commented, “Love the dress and love the hair!”

Carrie always wears stylish outfits on the show and last night’s dress was no exception.

However, those who have their eye on the paisley, princess sleeved, and belted creation may need to wait because the Torannce dress is yet to drop in store.

Peter has yet to respond to his accidental photobomb moment.

But he managed to commemorate the evening by sharing a hilarious Instagram of Carrie with her arm around Bachelor Australia’s newest Bachelor, Jimmy.

Well, it wasn’t actually him, but a handsome cardboard cut-out.

Peter joked, “It got pretty hot after the show between @bickmorecarrie & the new @thebachelorau.”
