Beyoncé has revealed her one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy to the world for the first time in her new revealing documentary, Life is But a Dream, which aired on HBO in the US on Saturday.
The 31-year-old and her husband Jay-Z have been extremely protective of their daughter since she was born in January 2012. The pair has only ever shown glimpses of their daughter and never revealing her face.
“It’s the most powerful thing you can ever do in your life,” she said of welcoming her daughter. “And especially after losing a child, the pain and trauma from that, just makes it mean so much more to get an opportunity to bring life into the world.”
