Beckham kids support David at charity soccer match

Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper turned out in team colours to cheer on their famous dad at Sunday's charity game.

If there was a Most Supportive Family award in showbiz, the Beckhams would definitely win.

David Beckham was joined on the soccer pitch yesterday by his proud children Romeo (13), Cruz (10) and Harper (4), as he completed his charity mission to play seven football games in seven continents.

Eldest son Brooklyn skipped out on the photo opportunity, but was watching from the sidelines as he warmed up to play alongside his famous father in the Great Britain and Ireland XI team.

No doubt Romeo and Cruz would have loved to have been playing too; both boys were kitted out in the same jerseys as their dad and looked ready to hit the field at a moment’s notice.

Harper, meanwhile, turned up the style factor in a gorgeous red woollen coat and trendy tan Chelsea boots.

And the famous family must have been a good luck token, with Beckham’s side taking a 3-1 win over the all-star Rest of the World team.

David Beckham has spent the last ten days jetting around the world to complete his mission of playing a football game on each continent.

He came up with the idea as a way to celebrate his tenth anniversary as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and has been documenting his progress on Instagram with the hashtag #LoveOfTheGame.

And after playing football games in Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Djibouti, Buenos Aires, Antarctica and Miami, Beckham’s final stop was his old stomping ground at Manchester’s Old Trafford.

“I always dreamt of it being here,” he told The Telegraph. “When we started talking about where the game should be, whether it be at a London club or Wembley, my dream was always to have the seventh game at Old Trafford.

“The fact we can do that and have the support of United and the fans — it is incredible that so many are turning out for it.”

And the occasion was made all the sweeter by the fact that 16-year-old Brooklyn was able to play alongside his father.

He told The Guardian: “Having Brooklyn out there was special.

“One of my lasting memories is winning the title and walking around with Brooklyn when he was 18 months. It was incredible. I’m very proud of what we achieved.

“It’s been a special day.”

The supportive family were joined by more famous faces to cheer the winning side on, including close friend and soccer fan Prince Harry.
