The British Human Rights lawyer has purchased him a beautiful set of handmade Murano cocktail glasses, which the pair used at their romantic Venice wedding!
The glasses are understood to be the exact ones the pair used on their special day and are worth $3,700 according to E! News.
“Amal loves the idea of them having the same cocktail glasses that they use at the Cipriani Hotel in Venice,” a source told E!.
“George admired them every time he looked at them during the wedding celebrations and they didn’t have time to go shopping in Venice, so she’s ordered them in as a post-wedding gift for him.
“It means that every time they curl up with a cocktail at home they’ll think of their wedding and be reminded of all the happy memories.”
Amal also purchased George a 12-piece set of matching silk napkins and hand-crafted napkin holders to match the glasses.
After officially taking George’s surname, Amal is now working in Athens, Greece, where she has met with the Greek Government to discuss bringing the Elgin marbles – a collection of historical marble sculptures – from the British Museum back to Greece.
