We’ve been eagerly awaiting the news that The Bachelor’s Richie has met Alex Nation son Elijah, and now the mother-of-one has finally admitted the pair have seen each other for the first time – although it’s not exactly how we’d hoped!
In an interview with TV Week, the couple revealed that the introduction has now occurred, admittedly via FaceTime!
“We are still trying to figure out a good time for Richie and the little guy to meet,” Alex said. “But they have done FaceTime, which was super cute.”
And if Alex’s enthusiasm was anything to go by, everything went well. “I swear to god my ovaries exploded, it was cute,” the 25-year-old said.
And Richie is feeling confident about their first conversation.
“The little guy thinks I’m super cool, so I wasn’t nervous at all,” the 30-year-old explained. “The little guy has me wrapped around his finger already, but I won’t tell him that!”
“I was really excited to chat to him. I have been talking to Alex over the phone all the time and he is always like, ‘Who’s that?'”

In fact, Alex may have to watch her back before Elijah’s loyalties shift!
“Now every time Richie calls or I’m on the phone he says, ‘Can I talk to Richie?’” Alex said.
“Yesterday they were talking about how many pickles to have on a cheeseburger!”
Sounds like Richie knows exactly what a five year-old boy wants!
Meanwhile the model has proven she’s not afraid to poke fun of herself with a hilarious Instagram snap that perfectly sums up her Bachelor experience.
“When a candle has your bachelor edit written all over it… literally,” she wrote, referring to the candle’s label: “cute, but psycho. But cute.”
Her followers were quick to defend her, writing: “Showing true emotion and refusing to ‘play the game’ does not make you a psycho”. One even said “Haha editing shows only what they want not what some of the viewers want @alexandranation.”
Richie says Elijah already has won him over.
