A-list stars welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

A-list stars set to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to LA

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have sent Hollywood into a frenzy as some of the most high profile celebrities rush to snap up a spot to attend an A-list event with the royal pair.

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez are among the A-list stars who will attend the British Academy of Film and Television Arts with Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William when they begin their two-day tour of Los Angeles on Friday.

Other stars set to join the party include funnyman Jack Black, actor Tom Hanks, Glee star Kristin Chenoweth, Ginnifer Goodwin and Desperate Housewives star Dana Delany.

Prince William, who is the president of the British Academy of Film and Television, has also invited more than 250 guests including Hollywood film executives and industry figures to the event.

And although the pair have a packed schedule for their visit, LA locals including Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Jane Seymour have told E Online where they think the royal couple should visit during their short trip.

“[They should go to] the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge because it’s private,” Paris Hilton suggested. “And they won’t be bothered with paparazzi outside like you would at the Ivy or something.”

Jane Seymour and Kim Kardashian have other ideas, with Kim suggesting Disneyland and Jane suggesting Universal Studios.
