New picture reveals Kate Middleton’s favourite lip balm – and it’s not what you’d expect

If there was ever a person we’d love to start a beauty blog, it would be Kate Middleton.

Seriously, if the Duchess of Cambridge started a Youtube Channel or a Podcast revealing her beauty secrets, we’d be hitting the ‘subscribe’ button faster than you can say ‘skincare routine’.

But alas, no such mystical platform exists as yet (not that we’re constantly looking out for it or anything…).

So in the interim, we’ll settle for something that’s almost just as good – the sneaky snippets of information we get every so often that reveal her favourite beauty products.

Over the years, we’ve been fed small nuggets of information around what Duchess Catherine keeps in her bag – from a trusty handkerchief to a spare lippy, the royal never chances a trip outdoors without these trusty devices.

But a recent new picture of the Duchess has revealed another exciting product she looks to be swearing by these days – so excuse us as we jump up and run to the nearest department store to nab our own.

Indeed as Kate stepped out on day two of Wimbledon on Tuesday, Kate stunned onlookers wearing a beautiful white shirt dress, looking radiant as per usual.

But it was the moment she sat down in the Royal Box on centre court that really drew our attention, because the Duchess decided to reach into her bag and pull out an item for her face that we can safely say will be our go-to makeup product for the foreseeable future.

Yep, like watching a ‘What’s In My Bag’ vlog on YouTube, the glorious reveal came as Kate herself pulled out none other than a tube of Clarins’ Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector.

The lip balm, which comes in cute pink packaging, is AUD $32. While it’s not exactly a cheap item per se, it’s still a lot more affordable than some of the other makeup products the royal uses.

Coming in multiple different shades of pink and purple (it looks like Kate’s shade of choice is Rose Shimmer, FYI), the product is described on the Clarins website as “textured” and “deliciously sweet” while providing a “3D shimmer”.

The exciting reveal came as a surprise to some, especially given Kate’s well-known love for Bobbi Brown products.

Indeed even on her wedding day back in 2011, Kate wore a Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner which officially sent fans on a wild buying spree.

And with that being said, it would be wise to snap up the Clarins lip balm sooner rather than later, as it’s likely to sell out once Kate’s latest reveal becomes widespread knowledge.

And it’s not just Kate who loves the product.

According to one fan’s review on the website, the product “adds a soft colour & brightens the face; nothing compares”.

Meanwhile, another wrote: “Great applicator- no messy fingers!”

Kate isn’t the only royal that has some golden beauty bargains to share.

Indeed Meghan Markle is also a known fan of some well known supermarket brands, including the cult classic Bio Oil.

Available for $20, you can’t really go wrong. And while you’re at it, you’ll no doubt be pleased to know she’s also a big fan of the $4.99 Nivea Body Lotion.

Before she became a royal, Meghan revealed to Beauty Banter that she uses the product “religiously”.

“It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it,” she said.
