Renee Zellweger says she doesn’t need kids “to be happy”

She may play an expectant mother in her latest film, Bridget Jones’s Baby, but Renee Zellweger has admitted that right now, she’s content with her life, just the way it is.

Renee Zellweger is telling all in a candid new chat with Extra she she promotes the highly-anticipated Bridget Jones’s Baby flick.

The 47-year-old admitted that although she plays an expectant-mother on the set of the third instalment of the beloved saga, she has no immediate plans to start a family of her own.

“I’ve never really thought like that about anything in my life, really,” the actress responded when asked if she was “craving” a baby.

“I’ve always been kind of open to whatever may be, curious to see what’s next. I’ve never been that deliberate about my life and the things that I would require in order to be happy.”

The star then went on to explain why she loves playing dysfunctional yet totally lovable girl-next-door.

“She triumphs over her imperfections and she makes it okay to be imperfect,” Renee quipped of her character Bridget.

“She makes it OK to be human at a time when we feel probably that there’s a lot of social pressure to be a certain way, to look a certain way, to have established certain things in your life by a certain phase in your life experience.”

Adding: “She’s sort of challenging those notions.”

The charismatic blonde has been enjoying a whirlwind promotional tour of the popular comedy, which is set to hit theatres later this month.

The film’s debut will mark the first appearance for Renee on the big screen after a six-year Hollywood hiatus.

Speaking of her decision to take a breather from acting, she explained: “It was time, it was time, I wanted to do some other things that there’s not a lot of time for when you’re caught up in the cycle of making films, because they tend to overlap.

“There’s not a lot of time to develop other skills, it’s a pretty big commitment, it’s a happy fun commitment, but I wanted to learn some other things. I did some pretty great things.”

The actress has been living it up in Sydney on her promotional tour with co-star Patrick Dempsey.

Justin Bieber fan pays for lunch after his credit card was declined

The awkward moment comes after an even more awkward BBC Radio interview.

Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?

Lucky Justin Bieber was on the receiving end of a freebie from a fan when his credit card was declined after he ordered lunch at Subway.

According to The Mirror, a fan swooped in to rescue the stranded singer after his card failed to work at the popular lunch spot in West Hollywood.

The Belieber was apparently only too happy to help out the red-faced star, paying for his foot-long sub, four milk bottles and an assortment of cookies.

Justin was left feeling awkward when his card didn’t work.

His girlfriend Sofia Richie was reportedly waiting in the car.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Sorry singer has apologised after a super awkward interview on BBC1.

Sophia was waiting in the car at the time of the incident.

After the interview, where he was stilted and aloof, Justin was slammed on social media.

Fans called him “painful to listen to” and “cringeworthy” after he gave short, clipped responses to the exasperated hosts.

When asked what his popular song *What Do You Mean? Is about, the hit maker responded “I think it’s self-explanatory.”

He also forgot the words to his own songs while performing on the popular BBC1 music show Live Lounge.

Justin took to Twitter to apologise for his performance.

“I don’t usually get thrown off,” the singer said. “But tonight I was thrown off and I was. Sorry about that.

“Really wanted to be my best. Hope you all had fun,” he concluded.

Hugh Jackman sings at mother-in-law’s funeral

Just when we thought our love for Hugh couldn’t grow any stronger.

Following the tragic passing of his wife’s mother-in-law, Fay Duncan, last Sunday, Hugh Jackman has been a pillar of strength for his bereaved wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Since posting a heart-warming tribute to the late Fay on Instagram earlier this week, Hugh has once again shown his love for his mother-in-law by singing a commemorative song at her funeral in Toorak, Melbourne, on Thursday.

According to the Herald Sun, Hugh and Deborra-Lee were surrounded by family and friends, including celebrities Eric Bana, and Bert and Patti Newton.

During the morning service, the Aussie actor paid homage to the 81-year-old by performing a touching rendition of Quiet Please, There’s a Lady on Stage, which was followed by Aussie singer Kate Ceberano’s cover of Amazing Grace.

As the funeral came to a close, Deborra-Lee was seen waving goodbye as the hearse drove away from the church – her 47-year-old husband stood by her side, holding her tightly.

Mrs Duncan founded the Bone Marrow Donor Institute, and was an avid advocate of Fight Cancer Foundation. This year, she received an Order of Australia medal in recognition of her work.

The Duchess of Cambridge wolf whistled by muscular tradies during official engagement in Cornwall

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have officially kicked off their tour of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and the trip began with plenty of laughs and smiles.

Upon visiting Truro Cathedral to support an appeal for its new roof, Catherine was greeted in the same way many women are when passing a group of muscular tradies – with a wolf whistle!

Even though the action could easily be construed as sexist and offensive, William, ever the gentleman, appeared to see the funny side and laughed at the men in response. One builder even grabbed a selfie with them!

While in Cornwall the royals also met young surfers on the beach (and tried out their coolest ‘surfer poses’ for photos) as part of the Wave Project, which teaches kids to surf to help reduce anxiety.

Also on the agenda was pulling pints at Healey’s Cornish Cider Farm and greeting the crowds of waiting admirers, which for one lucky lady meant a hug and a kiss!

Royals fan Linda Moore, 62, told the Daily Mail that she asked William, “‘Can I have a kiss?’ And he said: ‘You can give me a peck on the cheek.’”

She then pushed her luck for a hug and a photo too, to which he replied: “’Oh, go then.’”

She also took the opportunity to compare him to the late Princess of Wales; “I said to him: ‘You look like your mum,’ and he said: ‘I think my mum was better looking’.”

Talk about making a big bang on social media!

Kaley Cuoco has caused quite a stir with her latest Snapchat photo, in which she bared her chest.

The photo, taken by her stylist and friend Brad Goreski, featured a racy-looking Kaley, pulling her robe to the side to expose one breast.

Brad posted the saucy image to his Snapchat, in which Kaley is letting it all hang out while he himself is disguised by an old man filter.

No, that filter isn’t creepy at all.

But while the 30-year-old blonde had her whole breast exposed, she neglected to “free the nipple”, with her friend posting a little love heart emoji over the top of the image.

The Big Bang Theory star has previously admitted to having breast enlargement surgery when she was 18 and maintains it was the best decision she ever made.

Kaley loves her implants.

“My implants made me feel more confident in my body, she previously explained in an interview with Redbook

“It wasn’t about trying to be a porn star or wanting to look hot and sexy,” she said.

Duchess Catherine pours Prince William a pint in Cornwall

The royal couple had an activity packed day during their latest tour.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William took time to chill out on their latest engagement by enjoying a pint of cider in a local pub!

Catherine even tried to show off her skills as a barmaid, jumping behind the bar to pull the pint herself.

The royal pair were dropped by the quaint pub as part of a short royal tour of Cornwall.

When they arrived, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Truro Cathedral to “sign a slate” to support the appeal that seeks to restore the roof of the historic building.

Wills even got asked for a smooch by a local!

While greeting locals outside the church, a teaching assistant remarked on how much William looked like his mother.

“I think my mum was better looking!” the cheeky Prince quipped back.

The woman then asked for a kiss, and William said yes! But only on the cheek.

A secret skill for Duchess Catherine?

Then they made their stop at Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, where Kate showed off her bar skills.

Wills was quick to get to the point: “Where’s the alcoholic stuff?” he joked.

After sipping their pint, the royal couple tried a variety of other products, including a 120-proof whiskey!

The Duke and Duchess took time to try to inspire children at Zeb’s Youth Centre.

Following their tasting session, the parents of two made sure they addressed an issue close to their hearts by visiting Zeb’s Youth Centre, a drop-in centre that cares for the mental health of kids.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William asked the children what their aspirations were, with Wills reassuring them: “It is totally cool not to have that, by the way. It took me an awfully long time to work out what I wanted to be.”

Looks like Kate got a bit of a cat call!

On their way past a construction site, Kate dissolved into fits of giggles when one of the workman tried desperately to get her attention.

He then took a quick selfie with the gorgeous brunette as they walked past.

Catherine told the kids all about Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The duo finished off their busy day by visiting Towan Beach to support an initiative called The Wave Project.

The project teaches children to surf while aiming to reduce their anxiety and improve their mental health.

Surf’s up!

Catherine then reportedly told the children that she’s brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Cornwall previously to teach them all about rural life and farming.

The couple are set to spend a romantic night at Restormel Manor, a 500-year-old historic manor near the medieval town of Lostwithiel.

Looks like the romance between Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Moretz is over, according to reports.

Page Six revealed that Brooklyn has returned to London after various sources confirmed he’d broken up with his 19-year-old girlfriend.

The pair had spent the summer together in Los Angeles, where they attended several events as a twosome.

Insiders revealed that in the past few weeks both Brooklyn and Chloe were in the same city, but were not spending time together.

The Sun has blamed the breakup on Chloe Moretz for being “too clingy” and too much work for someone so young as Brooklyn.

According to the publication, Chloe “moaned relentlessly” every time her Brit boy had to go back to London.

Brooklyn was apparently seen returning to his homeland alone and dejected.

“Brooklyn is so young with his whole life ahead of him, he basically just didn’t need the aggro,” an insider revealed.

“He was besotted with her at first, but as time wore on Chloe wanted to become more serious and given he lives on the other side of the Atlantic, it was something he couldn’t offer.”

The source continued: “But, like any youngsters in a relationship, there wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they get back together.

“Especially if they go on to mix in the same circles.”

Just two weeks ago Brooklyn posted this loving picture of the pair.

The son of David and Victoria Beckham has never been shy about expressing his affection for Chloe on social media, posting several loving snaps with equally adorable captions.

Just two weeks ago he posted a photo of him carrying Chloe through a doorway, her arms and legs wrapped around him, with the caption, “Keeping her safe.”

The 17-year-old model and his blonde actress girlfriend had announced their blossoming relationship back in May, making it red-carpet official when they stepped out as a couple at the premiere of Bad Neighbours 2.

What did you think of Richie when you first met him?

I thought he was awesome! He was a lot more confident than I thought he would be and of course he is a good looking lad.

What are your feelings towards him now that you’re out of the mansion?

I think he is a genuine person who will go with his heart. I have no doubt in my mind that he will make the best decision possible for himself which is really good.

Is there anything about you that you wished Richie had got to know or got to know differently?

I wish we had a bit more time to get to know each other. In that environment it is hard to open up so there wasn’t enough time. But it was a wicked experience.

What was your favourite moment from your time on the show?

When I first entered. That was awesome, going in on a quad bike, it showed my personality and it was the start of something really awesome.

They got along like a house on fire! So what went wrong for Steph?

What’s next for you after leaving the show?

I’m looking at going on a tour around Europe and then go back to work – to the real world…damn it!

Do you still believe in love?

Oh yeah absolutely!

What advice would you give to the girls left in bach pad?

Be their happy selves.

I really don’t know. I couldn’t really pick it!

Two boys charged with sexually assaulting primary school girl

It happened at a school on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Two boys have been charged with aggravated sexual assault against a little girl of just 6-years-old.

The female student, from a primary school on Sydney’s northern beaches, is said to have been raped on two separate days last month by the boys who were both 12-years-old.

Fairfax Media reports that she reported the incidents herself.

Police allege that while both boys were present during both incidents, only one of them had sex with her the second time.

The school is said to have reported the incident to the Department of Education immediately and the NSW Police’s Child Abuse Squad were then notified.

Police released a statement earlier today and it is understood a letter was sent home to parents.

“Parents and carers of students at the school are in the process of being notified, and police request the community respect the privacy of the young people involved,” the police statement read.

“NSW Police Force works closely with the Dept of Education and Family and Community Services to ensure the safety of all students, and additional support has been made available at the school.

“The Child Abuse Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate crimes against children, including sexual assault, physical abuse and serious cases of neglect.”

It is believed the boys were arrested and charged at Chatswood police station on Tuesday following a two-week investigation.

Puppy found tied up in garbage bag

The kindness of a stranger who found this cute canine is overshadowed by why he was even there in the first place.

When Malissa Sergent Lewis woke up on August 25, she didn’t realise this would be a day different to any other.

She was driving down the same quiet road she cruises along every day to get to work, but this time, the Harlan, Kentucky local noticed something a little peculiar: a black garbage bag, tied up from the top. And it appeared to be moving.

Pulling over for closer examination, she walked up to the wriggling black bag, phone in hand in a bid to capture what was in it on video. Before long, Lewis tore the bag open to find a small, sweet black-and-white puppy.

Shocking is an understatement.

‘I could hardly wrap my mind around that. Something was alive in that bag, and I just knew I had to get whatever it was out,” she recalls.

While it seems like the puppy had been abandoned in the most cruel way possible, some believe that, considering this dog was wearing a collar and appeared to be well looked after, he could have been stolen.

For now, this loveable pooch is living with the Lewis family, who, have promised they will love and look after him.

A promise someone else couldn’t keep…
