Meghan Markle makes a rare public appearance for a very important milestone

Sadly, Prince Harry wasn't there to share in the joy.

Despite being one of the world’s most closely followed names, Meghan Markle has somehow managed to master the art of staying-out-of-the-spotlight.

She’s rarely seen in public, hasn’t updated her social media platforms in months and recently closed her lifestyle website — news that, of course, left royal watchers abuzz with the idea that the passionate humanitarian and actress may join the British Royal Family sooner than expected.

But there’s always an exception to the rule…

Meghan, 35, turned out to celebrated a major milestone on Tuesday: the 100th episode of her USA network show Suits.

The Canadian-based talent, who plays paralegal Rachel Zane on the incredibly popular legal drama, was snapped alongside her castmates in Toronto.

The group — which also included actors Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty, among others — happily posed for the cameras in front of a giant cake and bottles of bubbly aplenty.

In case you were wondering… no, Prince Harry wasn’t there to share in the celebration.

Despite her best efforts, the American-born actress may soon be thrust into the limelight. It was recently announced that her private life — warts, royals and all — will soon be exposed in a new documentary-come-reality-tv show.

According to The Sun, Channel 4 has commissioned a show titled Meet The Markles and filming is already underway.

We can’t imagine Harry and Meghan are particularly thrilled with the invasion of privacy.

A source told the publication: “Meghan is a hot topic right now and everyone is interested in her. Channel 4 are going to go deeper into her past than anyone before. They want to discover new things about her family. It could be dramatic.”

“Meet the Markles tells the story of some of Meghan’s ancestors and how she and Harry met,” the insider added. “The film also considers her possible future role in the royal family.”

The show is rumoured to include candid interviews with friends and family of Meghan, 35, and is being made by the team behind BBC1’s ancestry show Who Do You Think You Are?

Air dates for the show are yet to be released, but you can expect to tune in later this year.

Meghan Markle recently closed her lifestyle website and many believe the move may indicate that a royal engagement is on the horizon!

What’s more, Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, is soon expected to publish a tell-all book about the princess-in-waiting — as she has become known.

“My book deals with my bi-racial family in a candid, warm, personal and socially important way,” she told The Daily Star. “Maybe when Meghan is more mature and reads the book she’ll understand. Some of it she won’t like, some of it she might.”

The publication revealed that the current working title is The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister.

Samantha, 51, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and is wheelchair bound as a result, and Meghan both have the same father – Tom Markle.

The mother-of-three, who claims to have helped raise Meghan, believes her sibling has always had royal ambitions, musing, “Her behaviour is certainly not befitting of a Royal Family member,” before adding she was driven by “social climbing.”

“Hollywood has changed her. I think her ambition is to become a princess.”

“It was something she dreamed of as a girl when we watched the royals on TV. She always preferred Prince Harry — she has a soft spot for gingers.”

The pair have not been on speaking terms since 2008.
