7-year-old girl sends “Google boss” job application, gets a response

In what may be the cutest story of the year…

A forward-thinking young lady, determined to prove that the future really is female, has applied for a job at Google.

After seeing the perks that come with a job at Google – free gourmet food, never-ending snacks, massage credits, go carts and bean bag chairs, among many others – 7-year-old Chloe Bridgewater was determined to procure a position at the coveted Silicon Valley headquarters.

Speaking with Business Insider, Chloe’s father Andy explained that he encourage his little ankle bitter to “get the ball rolling” and send a letter to the tech company to see if any suitable jobs were available.

Chloe began the letter, succinctly and diligently, “Dear Google Boss.”

“My name is Chloe and I would like a job with Google. I also want to work in a chocolate factory and do swimming in the Olympics,” she wrote.

Professing her love for all things tech, Chloe added, “I like computers too and have a tablet I play games on.”

“My dad told me to give you an application to get a job in Google. I don’t really know what one of them is but he said a letter will do for now.”

“Thank you for reading my letter. I have only ever sent one other and that was to Father Christmas. Good bye,” she concluded the note.

And, much to the surprise and delight of everyone involved, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, swiftly replied.

Yes, Google Boss himself!

On Monday, Andy posted a photo on Twitter of the letter daughter Chloe received from the business executive.

In the letter, Sundar commended Chloe’s passion for technology and offered some rather encouraging advice.

“I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to ― from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics,” he wrote.

He added: “I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school!”

Google have confirmed the authenticity of the correspondence and with that in mind… Chloe, it seems you have your little 7-year-old foot in the door.

Well done, you!
