Moments after saying “I do,” Tennessee bride Sarah Ray, was on her way to her wedding reception when she rushed to respond to a car accident People reports.

A phone call telling Ray that her grandparents and father had been involved in an accident when a driver slammed into their vehicle, forced Ray and her husband of only minutes, Paul – also a paramedic – to spring into action.

Sarah’s mother snapped a photo of the bride, walking in the rain, fire trucks behind her and a sweet little smirk on her face, and now the image has gone viral.

“I love this photo because it shows her character and accentuates her beauty,” Martin told Channel 5.

As proud as her mum is, the image made Ray laugh.

“I know the face that I’m giving my mom was the ‘Really, mom? Right now you’re taking a picture?’ ” she said. “I’m sure we were a sight on the side of the road for people driving by.”

Many people are calling the bride a hero but Ray insists she was just doing her job.

“I was just making sure my family was okay … I just happened to be in a wedding dress.”
