Perth man mysteriously dies in the surf just two months after marrying the love of his life

This is just awful.

Two months ago, Lauren Walker married the love of her life, Trent Walker, exchanging I Dos in the state’s idyllic Margaret River area.

However, two weeks ago, Mrs Walker was forced to say goodbye to her husband, with the 36-year-old Perth man collapsing in the surf, later dying on Western Australia’s Dewars Beach.

Our hearts are breaking for Mrs Walker and those who knew and loved Mr Walker.

At 9am on Saturday, May 6, Mr Walker, an experienced and fit surfer, was surfing with friends at Dewars Beach, just north of Two Weeks, when he lost consciousness in the water.

His friends pulled him from the surf and attempted CPR but tragically Mr Walker couldn’t be revived.

Shocked and obviously devastated, Mrs Walker says she “can’t describe the pain” she feels with him being gone.

“My darling husband, words can’t describe the pain I feel with the loss of you,” Mrs Walker told The West Australian.

“You were taken from us way too early and no one understands why.”

“You are my soulmate and the love of my life.”

“I am so proud of you, of how hard you worked for our family and future.”

“I will always hold you in my heart. Please guide me through life.”

“I will love you for ever.”

Mr Walker’s friends echo Mrs Walker’s bereavement.

“The hole in my heart is one that will never mend but we all need to support each other through this horrible time,” his friend, Gav Wilson, wrote in a tribute he posted to Facebook.

“Trenno, you are the kindest, most caring and genuine soul I have ever had the pleasure of spending such a large amount of years of my life with.”

According to The West Australian, a report is being reported for the coroner in what Mr Walker’s friends believe to be an untimely death triggered by a medical complication.
