Mother-of-four Kylie Ashcroft was pulled from the waters of an Adelaide Beach on Thursday night.
It has been reported that the 28-year-old was on an inflatable toy when she was pushed offshore due to strong south-easterly winds at Aldinga Beach.
Now, A fundraising webpage has been created by one of Ms Ashcroft’s close friends with the aim of raising funds for the family left behind.
On the GoFundMe page, friend Monique Robson describes Ms Ashcroft as “an amazingly strong, independent, fun-loving woman”.
“She was kind, compassionate and generous; always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, never asking for anything in return,” she wrote.
“She was a wonderful friend who you could always count on; but more than anything, she was an AMAZING Mum. Her kids were her entire world.”

The fundraising campaign, which hopes to raise $10,000, appears to be well on its way already having raised over $5,000. Funds raised by the webpage will go towards covering Ms Ashcroft’s funeral expenses and will also aid in easing the financial burden on her family.
“This campaign has been created in an attempt to ease some of the financial burden on Kylie’s family (who are now caring for her four children), to help give her the beautiful farewell she deserves and to offer support to her darling babies,” Ms Robson, the campaign’s creator, writes.
According to Adelaide Now, Ms Ashcroft appeared to be in distress before she was pulled from the waters of the popular beach location by two kayakers.
Despite the heroic efforts of fellow beachgoers, who attempted to revive the young mother before paramedics arrived at the scene, Ms Ashcroft was unable to be resuscitated.
“Kylie never made it home with her family. At just 28 years old, Kylie was taken from this Earth, leaving behind her 4 beautiful children,” Ms Robson wrote.
“Her loss will leave an unimaginable hole in their lives, as well as the lives of all who knew her.”
