Jim Carrey has released a statement expressing his disappointment after the LA County Coroner made public the distressing details of his girlfriend Cathriona White’s death.

“When I came to Hollywood to make it as a comedian, I soon learned that the details of my private life would be handed out to the media like free dinner vouchers,” the 54-year-old actor said on Thursday.

“I never dreamed that the people I love most in the world would also be on the menu. What a shame.”

Cathriona was found dead in her home in September, and this week’s report ruled her death a suicide.

The actor was devastated by the loss of his “Irish flower” Cathriona.

It also included excerpts of the makeup artist’s very personal suicide note, which was addressed to Jim.

The Liar Liar actor was devastated by the loss and released a tribute to Cathriona following her death.

“I am shocked and saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” he wrote.

“My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
