The Project host just became even more relatable!

We’ve all had our fair share of fashion faux pas… Perhaps you once left the house wearing odd socks, or maybe you even went a whole day without realising that your shirt was on inside out!

But have you ever attended a star-studded, black tie event with your dress on backwards? Well, Carrie Bickmore has.

The star’s confession came on Tuesday night’s episode of The Project during a segment in which the panel noticed that Annastacia Palaszczuk had stepped out with her tag poking through the neckline of her blouse.

“I once hosted a charity event with my dress back to front,” Carrie quipped, one-upping the faux pas of the Queensland premier.

The brunette beauty continued while her co-hosts watched on, clearly lost for words.

Don’t worry Annastacia! We’ve all fallen victim to a scratchy tag on our necks!

“It was a really lovely charity event and my neckline was so plunging and I remember thinking, ‘I didn’t think I was going this risqué for this event!’

“I kept tripping every time I walked up and down the stairs because the dress was back-to-front! It was a plunging back, not a plunging front!”

“After the event my stylist was like, ‘Why did you wear the dress back-to-front?’ I said, ‘I don’t know! You weren’t there to dress me!’”

The hilarious blunder certainly wasn’t one of the host’s finest moments, but what Carrie lacked in fashion sense that night, she made up for!

This week she created a handmade birthday cake for her son.

The 35-year-old took to Instagram to proudly show off her airplane cake creation, made for her son Oliver on his ninth birthday.

While the sweet treat certainly looked impressive, the mother-of-two revealed that the birthday boy deducted marks for making the wings inedible.

Yum!

“This year’s cake request was certainly a challenge! My future pilot gave it a 9/10.”

Explaining why the cake wasn’t awarded full marks, Carrie continued, “Lost a point for the big crack in the middle and the fact that the wings and tail weren’t edible which seems fair (anyone know how to make wings edible? I tried for hours and gave up).”

“I discovered there is a thing called an edible pen too, how cool. I am still dealing with the fact my little man is 9,” she finished, adding a sad face emoji.

They grow up so fast, Carrie!

Carrie’s first son with her late husband, Greg Lange, has grown up before our eyes!
