It’s finally here! The much anticipated memoir by Prince Harry, Spare, has finally hit the shelves, with many places selling it for up to half price.
If it was up to the royal family, the book would never see the light of day, but the book is sure to be engrossed by many – especially now that a loop-hole allows some book lovers to get it for free.
If you’re happy to for-go getting your hands on a physical copy and instead consume the book via audio – which is read by the Prince himself – then a hack for new Audible customers means you won’t pay a cent to get Harry’s account of his royal upbringing.

When a new user creates an Audible account they then receive credits to choose their first book for free, those credits can be used to purchase the audiobook version of Spare, which has been narrated by the Prince himself.

(Image: Getty)The publisher of the royal autobiography, Penguin Random House, has promoted the book as being an ‘intimate and heartfelt memoir’ saying “As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling – and how their lives would play out… For Harry, this is his story at last.”
The publishers added that the book would encompass Harry’s “lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the front lines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father”.
Audible is allowing new members to try the service for free for 30 days, and is using Harry’s book to promote it.
(Image: Audible)Following the death of the Queen, the book under-went some final edits according to palace insiders, who said Prince Harry requested a number of alterations to be made amid fears that his final draft ‘might not go down well’ with his family amidst an already strained relationship.
Buckingham Palace previously said it will not comment on the book announcement and has yet to make any statements about the books release or the contents.
