The kids are bored. It’s too hot or perhaps it’s raining. Whatever the reason, indoor play centres are a godsend for adults and children alike.

We’ve done the research and here are the 9 best play centres across Sydney…

1. Nubo

This state-of-the-art play centre is amazing. Nubo describes itself as “an innovative new educational play space that connects families through purposeful design and quality learning experiences.”

Each section of the centre offers a different experience where you can read in the library; create in the art studio, float in the ball pit and more.

Nubo also offers educational workshops where little ones can cook, do a yoga class, and build all kinds of projects.

There is even mums and bubs classes on offer.

Nubo caters for children from 0-10 years and offers casual visits and party bookings.

2. Little Dynamo’s

Kids can’t sit still? This place ticks all the boxes.

It features a five level structure of tunnels, climbs, tree houses, a flying fox, mazes, bridge climbs and slides that are sure to exhaust even the most energetic children.

For busy bubs and toddlers there is a play space area that is safely fenced off from the older kids.

A modern cafe offers viewing panels and vantage points for you to keep an eye on the kids while you relax with a coffee.

3. Jungle Buddies

Jungle Buddies is a play centre and party venue with a focus on keeping kids active and healthy.

The bright and funky play equipment includes slides, obstacles, trampolines, a ball fountain with super cannon, tunnels, crocodile stepping stones and more.

Plus, a dedicated baby and toddler play area keeps the little ones happy.

For parents there is undercover parking with direct lift access – handy for prams! – plus, a child-friendly café with fresh food and organic coffee.

4. Monkey Mania

There are now nine Monkey Mania play centres across the nation but the Bankstown one features not only the highest indoor play structure in Australia but it’s also the biggest.

At ten metres high, it’s sure to keep your little monkeys busy for hours.

The Bankstown centre also includes an inflatable jumping castle, dedicated toddlers area, a cannon foam ball arena, climbing structure, slides, and electric go-karts.

Plus there’s a cafe and free parking.

Available for casual visits and parties. The party packages include a party host, food, free adult entry, invitations and more.

5. Ultimate Family Fun Centre Sydney

When your claim to fame is that you’re ‘Australia’s Largest Indoor Play Centre’, you know this place means business. If by business, you mean fun and lots of it.

Ultimate Family Fun Centre has a huge network of interconnected trampolines, a massive foam pit with a climbing wall, dodgem cars and more.

The centre is sectioned into two areas – a space for 5-12 years and a soft play area for 0-5 years.

Plus, there are party rooms, a cafe and a chill out zone for the grown ups.

Yep, this place has thought of everything.

6. Wannabees Family Play Town

A play centre with a difference.

Wannabees is a child-sized indoor city featuring fire and police stations, hospital, post office, restaurant, gym, TV studio and more.

Here, children can let their imaginations run wild as they dress up, role play and explore different occupations.

Also check out the six metre rock climbing wall and soft play area for toddlers.

Weekday mornings there are scheduled activities for little ones and on the weekends check out the timetable for fashion parades, monthly-themed discos are the popular fire fighting sessions.

7. Stomping Ground

Stomping Ground transforms its place space to cater for kids big and small.

On weekdays keep babies, toddlers and preschoolers entertained with play equipment for every age group. There is space availabe for mums groups, a baby feeding area, comfy chairs and coffee.

Then for 6 to 12 year olds, Stomping Ground is open for birthday parties and school holiday activities.

What’s on offer? There are fantastic inflatables, PlayStation virtual realting, fooball and air hockey and more.

8. Chipmunks Playland

Families that play together, stage together. Chipmunks provides active play for children aged 0-11. Centres are divided into safe play areas for babies, toddlers and the main play space for 5-11 years.

Play spaces vary between locations but you can expect soft play obstacles, climbing structures, a ball pit, cannons, ramps, bridge and fixed slides.

Party packages are available too.

At the Macquarie Centre location parents will go mad for the drop off service for school aged children between 5-11 years. Yes, that’s right. Your kids can head into Chipmunks while you shop or run errands. Amazing!

9. The Play Cave

The Play Cave has been built for fun. As the name suggests, kids can check out the huge cave set up, go go-karting, play basketball or soccer and test out the ball pit and slides.

Plan a casual visit or book one of the four party rooms. Party packages include food and you can choose from themes like Dinosaurs or Princess Castle.

At The Rock cafe, enjoy all day breakfast, nutritious kids meals, pizzas and more.
