It seems 2024 is the year for Australian reboots as BBC Studios and Paramount has confirmed Top Gear Australia will return after more than a decade since the spin-off was axed.
From 2008 to 2012, Australia had its own run at the popular series with Warren Brown, Charlie Cox and Steve Pizzati behind the wheel. There were a few shake ups in the original with Jomes Morrison replacing Charlie Cox and Shane Jacobson and Ewen Page later presenting alongside Steve.

(Image: Instagram)In the 2024 re-run, will be hosted by popular faces in Aussie TV Beau Ryan, Jonathan LaPaglia and alongside car enthusiast Blair Josecelyne aka ‘Moog.’
While two of three newcomers have experiencing hosting popular television series as Jonathan has been the long serving host of Survivor Australia and Beau hosting The Amazing Race Australia among others.
Blair has a wealth of knowledge in vehicles after co-creating the Mighty Car Mods YouTube series with Marty Mullhound.

(Image: Instagram)The series launched in 2007 on “Marty’s mum’s driveway” and has nearly 800 videos with 3.7 million subscribers.
While Blair hosts Top Gear Australia, the car duo has been momentarily split up. However, Blair revealed on the Mighty Car Mods Instagram page, he cannot wait to “do some skids on TV.”
Speaking on the reboot, Paramount Australia and New Zealand SVP Content and Programming Daniel Monaghan said: “Top Gear Australia promises to deliver everything fans love about the show but with an Aussie twist.”
“We can’t wait for Jonathan, Beau and Blair to get behind the wheel of the world’s biggest car entertainment show.”
While some Top Gear fans seem sceptical on the Australia reboot, we cannot wait to watch more “adrenaline-fueled adventures” in 2024.
