We have said it once and we will say it once again, the Home and Away cast is the closest bunch in Aussie showbusiness.

They have once again proven it by ringing in Emily Weir’s milestone 30th birthday with the most heartfelt messages.

Georgie Parker shared a slew of pictures of her and Emily together and she penned a loving caption about hoping to celebrate together soon, as both stars are stuck in Sydney’s lockdown.

“Birthday girl, you’re full of sunshine. Hope you have a beautiful day, and when we can go out on the town again, we’ll be doing this 🥳🥳💃🏻🕺🏻🤳🏽👯🥂🍷🤪💃🏻,” she wrote.

Sam Frost reshared a video posted by Laura Vazquez, who is the Home and Away makeup artist and good friend of the cast.

In the video Emily is all glammed up as she jokingly struts and poses like a catwalk model.

Sam wrote, “Happy Birthday to this absolute goddess @WEIR.EMILY.

“The most hilarious & fabulous woman we love you.”

On Laura’s page, the makeup artist posted videos and a collage of Emily, which she pared with a heartfelt message.

“Happy Birthday my beautiful girl @weir.emily. Words can’t describe how much our friendship means to me. Your truly one of a kind I hope your day is super special.

“I wish I was there to celebrate you. Love you so much,” penned Laura.

Ethan Browne also posted a message for his dear friend, which featured a picture of them on set with the caption, “Happy birthday homeslice.”

A few weeks before her birthday Emily opened up to New Zealand’s Stuff about portraying her character Mac’s alcoholism.

The actor – who has been sober for a few years – spoke about understanding what her character is going through.

“I have been that girl at those parties,” she told Stuff.

“I have numbed my pain with drinking and I think it’s a very big privilege to be able to use that experience and channel it into my acting. It’s actually quite therapeutic, as long as you do it safely, and I was very excited to do that storyline.”

When Emily was given her storyline, the producers were unaware she had struggled with her own sobriety but that didn’t stop her from wanting to explore the subject.

“It was just one of those things that never came up in conversation.

“It wasn’t like I was trying to hide it. It just wasn’t something we spoke about,” she explained.

“So it was interesting when an article came out about me going sober and about how alcohol and I were not friends and that I go to AA.

“The producers were like, ‘Are you going to be OK? We can change (the storyline)’. I was like, ‘Absolutely not. This is one story that I know how to tell’,” she finished.
