He was originally discovered on the first season of reality series Big Brother in 2001 and he went on to star as Stuart Parker in Neighbours for five years.

Now, Blair McDonough is set to appear in the classic Australian soap opera Home And Away!

The reality star turned actor told Confidential that he was ready to step away from acting just as he got the guest role on H&A.

“I’ve given up acting like six times,” the 36-year-old said.

‘I’ve thought, I’m done and going to be a builder, but it lures you back in. I do love it and miss it.’

The actor recently shared a snap of his Home And Away script, teasing fans of his upcoming role with the caption “Just like riding a bike… right?!”

But shortly after positing, he deleted the picture.

Blair (right) with his Neighbours co-stars Tom Oliver and Natalie Bassingthwaighte in 2003.

Blair will feature in the October 9 episode of Home And Away and he will star as Alan Ellis, the father of Beth (Anneliese App).

The character Beth was recently introduced to us as Mason’s (Orpheus Pledger) love interest, who he met in hospital.

Beth is dying and Mason is currently helping her to complete her bucket list. How will Alan react to Mason and Beth’s friendship?

Blair starred in Winners & Losers for two years.

Even though Blair hasn’t been on our screens lately, it doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy!

He wrapped up a role on the Aussie drama series Winner & Losers in 2012 and since then he’s had a new role – one as a father!

In 2015, he and wife Kristi Townley welcomed their daughter Leni into the world.

In May this year, they couple announced the arrival of their second child, a son called Van James McDonough. The family currently reside in Byron Bay, NSW.

We can’t wait to see Blair in Summer Bay soon!
