Four weeks might not seem like long in the real world, but in Bachelor in Paradise land it’s a lifetime – or at least long enough to fall head over heels with your future wife!

Yep, NW has heard that in a Bachelor in Paradise Australia first, lovable larrikin Sam Cochrane drops down on one knee and pops the question to Tara Pavlovic in the season finale, and the couple are now engaged.

Our hearts!

“You know when it just fits perfectly… I just knew!” gushes the groom-to-be, who presents his future wifey with a $2000 cushion-cut halo ring from GS Diamonds.

“Tara has everything I need in a woman.”

While the big step might come as a shock to fans, Sam, 31, admitted to NW prior to going to Paradise that he wouldn’t rule out proposing on TV if he met The One.

“I don’t think that’s something that you can plan or not plan,” he told us. “It’s something you would know at that moment. There are people that get married in the first night of meeting each other. So that’s not something I’d rule out.”

A match made in Paradise, these two are so well suited!

And Tarzy is over the moon that he made such a massive commitment to her!

“Sam’s a very romantic guy – it’s just beautiful,” Tara, 28, gushes to NW.

“[Our relationship progressed] in a really organic way. The situation with Sam is everything I’ve ever wanted to find. It just felt right.”

Now, the lovebirds are already in full-blown wedding planning mode, with Uncle Sam – as he’s affectionately known – hoping to say “I do” at the beach surrounded by his and Tara’s loving families.

“I have a billion nephews so they would all be there,” he tells NW of his dream day.

“It would be intimate. But I would also want to spoil ourselves as well.”

Spoil themselves, indeed, as Sam reveals the duo’s plans for their first getaway as Mr and Mrs Cochrane.

“There has to be a tropical element to the honeymoon,” he gushes to NW.

“I would definitely like clear, blue water. I would like to wake up on the sand. Throw in a bunch of theme parks as well.”‘

Sounds like a dream come true for the goofy couple.
