The nation and indeed the world have watched Bindi Irwin grow up right before our eyes.
From the chubby-cheeked baby tottering along after animals at Australia Zoo to the confident eight-year-old girl who spoke so beautifully at Steve Irwin’s funeral in 2006.
And now in a full circle moment, Australia’s first daughter is set to welcome her own daughter with husband Chandler Powell in 2021.
But when is Bindi Irwin‘s due date?
The 22-year-old won praise for announcing her pregnancy in the early stages of her first trimester back in August and just this week, she confirmed she’s officially at the half-way mark.
The couple can’t wait to become parents.
(Image: Instagram)Which means Bindi and Chandler’s baby girl is due around the end of March/start of April period of 2021.
“Halfway there! 20 weeks pregnant and our baby girl is about the same size as a recently hatched emu chick,” Bindi captioned her 20-week snap.
“The love I have for my sweetheart husband and our beautiful daughter is boundless.”
Mark your calendars: Bindi and Chandler’s daughter is due around late March/early April 2021.
(Image: Instagram)Bindi’s husband Chandler also shared the same photo, which was snapped by Bindi’s younger brother Robert Irwin, and mused: “The three of us have made it to 20 weeks❤️ Our Baby Wildlife Warrior is now about the size of a newly hatched emu chick. We are halfway to meeting her. Can’t wait to be a dad!”
Bindi has kept her followers updated with her pregnancy by comparing her growing baby to native Australian animals.
Speaking of the moment she told her husband, who she married in March, that they were going to have a baby together, Bindi explained: “Discovering that I was going to become a mother will forever be a moment where time stood still. I took a test and ran into the kitchen where Chandler was making us tea. He didn’t hear me come in so I speechlessly watched him pouring the water into my most loved hedgehog mug.”
She continued: “I started crying tears of pure joy and told my sweetheart husband that my test was positive. We were beaming while our adorable puppy Piggy sat on our feet wondering what was going on.”
We can’t wait to meet the next mini Wildlife Warrior in 2021!
The newlyweds recently celebrated reaching the half-way mark of their pregnancy.
