Junior MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo has welcomed a baby girl into his family, Isla Generosa.

She’s Jock’s second child with wife Lauren Fried.

Jock has a two-year-old son, Alfie, with Lauren, as well as two teenage daughters, Ava and Sophia, from a previous relationships.

The MasterChef favourite took to Instagram over the weekend to share the first details of the new arrival, four weeks on from welcoming baby Isla into the family.

“Haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face for the last four weeks – our precious little Isla Generosa Zonfrillo, my fourth kiddo, came into our world,” he wrote.

“I couldn’t ask for more – a healthy baby, happy siblings, and a rockstar wife. The Zonfrillo Clan have never been happier.”

Jock already shares son Alfie with wife Lauren.

For Jock, filming Junior MasterChef in Melbourne was tough, with his family in Adelaide and COVID restrictions making travel difficult. When filming wound up, he couldn’t wait to get back home.

“It’s been brilliant to be together again,” the 44-year-old tells TV WEEK.

“While it was tough, we knew it had to be done, and we certainly weren’t the only family going through it either.”

He may have just welcomed his own new bub, but Jock who was dubbed a “silver fox” by MasterChef fans, recently revealed he’s ready to take on the nickname in a whole new way.

“I cannot wait for grandkids, honestly,” he tells TV WEEK.

“I think once you become a parent and see that relationship between your child and your parents, you start to think, ‘How beautiful would it be if, one day, I can have my grandkids come around’.”

The doting dad is also ready to become a grandad!

The Junior MasterChef finale airs this week, but Jock feels sure Australians will be seeing a lot more of some of this year’s contestants.

“I can see perhaps Laura and Carter having their own restaurant,” he says. “I could see Ben and Filo doing a show together in a few years – and Georgia, could she be the next Nigella? Quite possibly!”

Jock lists his top dishes as Carter’s carrot cake, Dev’s North Indian feast and Filo’s seafood dish. And he thinks cub scout Ben deserves a cooking badge for his Indigenous-inspired dessert.

“They’d better give him one on arrival or they’ll have me to answer to!” he says with a laugh.
