They arrive, they see, they conquer… kinda.

The cast of Celebrity Apprentice Australia are no strangers to a challenge, but we’re not sure they were expecting the all-consuming wrath of Lord Alan Sugar, a demanding, super-critical boss who put them to the ultimate test on the popular rebooted television show.

Within the first couple of episodes, two celebrities were brutally cut from the running to win the business-skewed reality show.

But while the last word lies with Alan, the last laugh lies with the contestants, who are shining a light on their chosen charities which ultimately win big by taking home all profits generated from challenges.

As the dramatic season continues, we look at who hasn’t quite made the final cut and got sent packing by Lord Sugar, who told them those two fateful words: “You’re fired.”

Martha Kalifatidis

She may not have won the competition, but she certainly won any ‘most controversial’ prizes up for grabs. Martha made her voice heard without any inhibitions throughout her time on the show, but it was the penultimate challenge that finally saw her bid adieu to the season. Don’t worry, we’re sure we’ll still be seeing her in the social media sphere…

Josh Gobson

AFL star Josh Gibson did well considering he was a latecomer in the comp – and while his big ideas didn’t always translate well, and weren’t quite enough to impress Lord Sugar, we’re still big fans of his passion and dedication.

Wippa

Wippa

Radio funny guy Wippa was sent packing in the show’s finale week after an ice cream challenge proved to be more sour than sweet. But ever the gentleman, Wippa had only great things to say in the wake of his exit – namely thanking the late Cooper, who was the person behind the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation. Wippa worked hard to raise money for them, writing of the night he was fired by Lord Sugar: “When I got home Lisa and I sat on the couch and raised a glass to celebrate Cooper. It was at that moment we realised Cooper was the puppet master, and all I really had to do was turn up.”

Camilla Franks

She made it far, but not far enough to make the top five. Camilla Franks was left in the firing line after slightly overshooting the budget during the kids sleepover challenge. Ever graceful, Camilla said after her exit: “Show after show, I was pushed way out of my comfort zone. Thrown at us were some huge challenges, some inevitable personality clashes and the realisation that not everyone is going to like you. But it’s just TV and real life is sweet.”

As an intruder, Scherri-Lee was already on the back foot, but she failed to get on the front foot by lacking participation in a clincher challenge. Ultimately, she said bye-bye to the boardroom and her teammates.

David Genat

The international model couldn’t quite pull off a Survivor-espque extravaganza on Celeb Apprentice, he was the seventh to get the boot. Speaking of his elimination, he admitted he thought Lord Sugar didn’t like him very much – “I think he did not appreciate me calling his whatever this is a game. But business is a game, life’s a game, are we not playing a game? Apparently not, it’s very serious.”

Jess and Lisa Origliasso were the second entity to be eliminated in at the same time as Michelle Bridges (more on that in the next slide). While they tried their hardest to raise money in the name of their mother, who suffers from a rare neurological condition, and the Bran Foundation, the pair were cut short in the end.

Michelle Bridges

Michelle’s exit during a double elimination was the definition of fiery. The fitness guru said in a statement after that her teammate David Genat was much more culpable than she. ” David should have been in there. There’s no question about that in my mind. I knew from the get-go he was playing a game. I just didn’t realise how much he was snuggling up to the Project Managers,” she said.

After a budgy smuggler showdown, Anthony Callea was the fourth to get the flick on Celebrity Apprentice. Speaking of his exit in the aftermath, he told Channel Nine he “wouldn’t have done anything differently”.

Ninja Warrior champion Olivia Vivian proved quickly she was a great team player, but a team leader? Not so much. She was appointed as project manager by Lord Sugar himself for the third challenge, but her task force of Dumpling-makers fell short under her guidance. “I’ll take this experience and move forward with a briefcase of new found knowledge,” she said upon her exit.

Rob Shehadie

In episode two, Rob Shehadie’s historical tour presentation across Sydney failed to impress both his teammates and judges. Unfortunately, Rob’s attempt at tour guide was more snooze-worthy than star worthy and he was sent packing.

Alex Hayes

Pro athlete and social media star Alex Hayes was the first to go when his attempt at drawing buyers for his self portrait spectacularly flopped. “The problem nowadays is all these ‘billionaires’ only care about profit for themselves and not the impact on earth. I guess that hits a nerve for some,” Alex poignantly penned after his elimination.
