Tim Robards is making the switch from reality TV regular, to soap opera star.
The former Bachelor star, who recently tried his hand at Australian Ninja Warrior, is joining the cast of Neighbours as the mysterious Pierce Greyson.
"I've really enjoyed exploring the character, Pierce Greyson has a number layers to him so he is really interesting to play for sure," says Tim.
"He is a hybrid of a Harvey Specter, sprinkle of Christian Grey and little bit of Robert Redford so it's been great fun to explore."
Tim reveals his new role is ultra-special, as he grew up watching the soap.
"I watched Neighbours as a kid so to be on the set with such iconic characters like Paul Robinson, Toadie and Susan is an amazing experience – the entire cast and crew have been so welcoming," he reveals.
Tim's character Pierce arrives at Ramsay Street in style, where the wealthy investor quickly turns heads with his good looks.
The former reality star says he's excited to give acting a go.
"At the start of this year I made the decision to make acting the top of my priority list and I've been putting in the work behind closed doors with different coaches – pushing myself out my comfort zone and then this role came up so I'm super excited."
Of his casting in the role, Neighbours Executive Producer, Jason Herbison says Tim went through a "lengthy audition process" and "impressed us with his take on the character."
The star is certainly making the rounds on TV at the moment, with his episode of Australian Ninja Warrior airing recently.
Of course, Tim isn't the only Bachelor alum to end up on a soap.
Sam Frost, Australia's first-ever Bachelorette, currently stars as Jasmine on Home and Away and even earned herself a Most Popular New Talent nomination at the 2018 TV WEEK Logie Awards.
We can't wait to see Tim's character on the show! The actor will make his debut in early October 2018.
