Dr Chris Brown could officially be off the market!
The former TV vet has been dating Brisbane-based publicist Lorraine Monforte since sometime last year, with the couple hard launching their relationship on Instagram in May.
Chris and Lorraine have known each other for years since meeting when he was co-hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and she was working as a publicist at Channel 10.
The couple just returned from a holiday in Finland and now insiders believe that Lorraine might be the woman who finally gets the former Bondi Vet to pop the question.
“Chris is happier than he has ever been. He’s never seemed this settled, or this willing to let the world see just how happy he is,” our source spills.
“Their recent trip to Finland, where Chris introduced Lorraine to his nearest and dearest, only further cemented how much he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Everyone loved her, and Chris was proud as punch to have her by his side.”
Industry insiders say this is the first time the TV personality has been so open about his private life, which he usually keeps fairly under wraps.
“He has always wondered what the moment would be like when he finally dropped to one knee, and having Lorraine be the one he asks is more than he could have hoped for,” says someone close to the couple.
“This is different for Chris. He’s not hiding away or keeping things behind closed doors — he’s genuinely proud to be with her, and that says a lot about how serious this relationship has become,” they continue.
“If Chris has decided to take that next step, it wouldn’t surprise anyone who has seen them together. They are both incredibly happy, and there’s no doubt this is the relationship he has been waiting for.”
If wedding bells are in the air for the couple, we might see them return to the place they first met for their big day.
“They’re looking at a destination wedding, with South Africa one of their top choices,” explains an insider. “It holds a special place in both of their hearts, as it’s where they spent so much time together filming I’m A Celebrity. It would be a no-brainer to return to a country they both love and have such a strong connection to.”
Lorraine has two children from a previous relationship who are said to be over the moon to have the Reno Rules host in their lives.
“Lorraine’s two children will definitely play an important role on the big day. Chris adores them, and they have embraced him,” they claim.
“They think he’s great fun, and they also love that he makes their mum so happy.”
