Ah, the Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson drama just keeps getting juicier, and we cannot look away.

This time Miley has thrown a not-to-subtle swipe at her ex Liam Hemsworth and managed to offend the entire LGBTQI community in the process. Here’s what happened…

So on Tuesday, Miley chatted to fans via a video livestream from her home in Los Angeles, then invited Cody into the chat from Sydney, where he is currently promoting his winning appearance on Channel 10’s hit reality show, The Masked Singer.

Miley started gushing about her new man, before using the opportunity to make a thinly-veiled dig at Liam, her former partner of 10 years.

“There are good people out there that just happen to have d–ks. I’ve only ever met one, and he’s on this live,” Miley said, referring to Cody.

She then went on to reassure her followers that “there are good men out there, guys, don’t give up,” before suggesting a lack of good men forced into her same-sex relationship with ex Kaitlynn Carter, which began after her split with Liam was announced.

“You don’t have to be gay, there are good people with d–ks out there, you’ve just got to find them. You’ve got to find a d–k that’s not a d–k, you know?” Miley said.

Miley and Cody have been posing up a storm on Instagram.

And they’ve been posting loads of steamy selfies, including this one with Miley’s hand down Liam’s pants.

The backlash was swift from the gay community, who pointed out that it’s deeply offensive to suggest that being gay is a choice, or a state one can easily slip in and out of.

So hours later, Miley took to her Instagram and Twitter accounts to backtrack on her comments.

“I was talking sh– about sucky guys, but let me be clear: YOU don’t CHOOSE your sexuality. You are born as you are,” Miley wrote.

“It has always been my priority to protect the LGBTQ community I am a part of. Happy Monday!”

Miley responded to the criticism on Twitter.

Since being unmasked as the robot on The Masked Singer on Monday night, Cody has been on the promotional rounds this morning, giving us all sorts of insights into his new relationship with the Slide Away singer.

Cody says despite their steamy couple pics on the gram and fast-as-lightning relationship status, it’s “too early to say” if the pair are in love.

“But she’s definitely one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I’ve always felt that way, I’ve always admired her pretty much,” he told Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa.

The pair have always moved in similar circles in Hollywood, since Cody move stateside.

“We became close friends when I was 17-18, and we were both going through a solid party phase. We became friends and she’s always been really supportive of me. Lately, she’s said: ‘I think it’s just because I had a crush on you the whole time’. I was like, ‘Well, I’ve loved you since I was 9’,” Cody revealed.

But he insists their friendship only recently blossomed into romance and he kept a respectful distance when Miley was in her previous relationships.

“I’m not one to break things up, and I have respect for what she’s been through this year. When things turned into something more, it was a very natural thing,” he said.
