It seems Chris Martin is continuing to pursue his romance with Jennifer Lawrence in spite of his ex Gwyneth Paltrow’s demands on his time.
Oscar winner Jen, 24 and Coldplay front man Chris, 37, had reportedly decided to go their separate ways in October last year after the pressure for Chris to spend all his time with his Gwyneth and the children grew too much .
Gwyneth revealed to Harper’s BAZAAR this week that the pair remain close and continue to work through things together, saying: “it might be easier to say, ‘I never want to see you again’, but what good does that do anyone? … We’ve made a lot of mistakes, and we’ve had good days and bad days, but I have to say, I’m proud of us for working through so much stuff together.”
Gwyneth was reportedly leaning on Chris to ensure he set aside adequate time, away from any romance he might be pursuing, to be with their kids Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, – even going as far as to draw up a schedule for him.

Rumours of a reconciliation were sparked after Gwyneth even lovingly mentioned Chris in a public speech at last year’s amFAR Awards, referring to him as the “father of the year”.
In spite of Gwyneth’s clinginess, it seems now though that Jen and Chris may be giving their relationship a second go as they give things a fresh start for the new year after they were spotted dining out together at an LA sushi restaurant on 30th December.
“They were engulfed in their little world of conversation,” a fellow diner reported to People magazine about the “fun” dinner.
“They were into each other and not noticing anyone else around them.”
The pair were reportedly discreetly tucked away at the back of the restaurant and “seemed to be just content with each other,” the source said. “He was really listening to what she was saying.”
Jennifer was seen hanging out backstage at Chris’s Coldplay gig for the iHeart Radio festival last year.
Another ‘insider’ has now apparently told the mag that things never really ended between them, with the pair remaining close in spite of Chris being forced to take time out of the relationship to spend with the kids.
“Even though they are busy, the relationship is solid. They see each other when they can.
“Jennifer understands that the children come first with Chris and that his relationship with Gwyneth is based around the family and will always be a part of his life. Things are good between them.”
The famous pair first started dating on the quiet in August last year. While they’ve never publicly confirmed their relationship, they have been spotted on date nights and visiting each other’s houses.
Jen was spotted backstage at one of Chris’s gigs with Coldplay and she was also seen sporting one of his famous Love buttons – thought to be a subtle public acknowledgement of her feelings for him.
Now that things are heating up again between the two, we may even see them step out publicly as a couple!
