It’s been nearly a week since Georgia Love’s treasured mother Belinda lost her courageous battle to pancreatic cancer.

And now the beloved reality star has taken to Instagram to thank everyone for their love and support, and to urge well-wishers to do something very important.

Alongside a family photo of Georgia with her mum, father and sister, the journalist revealed she’s been utterly blown away by “the huge outpouring of love, support and condolences from all over the world since announcing the devastating news of my beautiful mum’s passing.”

“Thank you to every single person who has shared even a single thought for me and my family.”

“This is an absolutely awful time in our lives and we know the hurt will continue for a long time. But one thing my mum taught me was to believe in paying it forward and that from every negative can come even the slightest positive,” the 28-year-old added.

But Georgia’s post wasn’t just a note of thanks. In fact, the stunning brunette shared an inspirational call to action – urging people to make a donation to Pancare Foundation, which is described as “Australia’s only charity fighting pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancer.”

“So I hope my family’s gut wrenching loss can create some awareness of the brutal disease that is pancreatic cancer and hopefully do some good in helping to find a cure.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.”

“If you have time, please head to www.pancare.org.au and if you have even a dollar spare, please think of donating or buying a purple ribbon or wrist band to wear this month in support of @pancareaus and let’s hope the sobering statistic of a 7% survival rate for this awful cancer can be changed,” Georgia shared.

Her post has been inundated with message of support and praise.

Georgia’s new boyfriend Lee Elliott revealed he was luckily able to meet Belinda before she passed away.

“It meant a lot to me to be there, and I could see how much it meant to Georgia,” Lee told Woman’s Day this week.

“I feel so blessed. I wish our meeting had been in different circumstances, but that first moment was something that will stay with me forever.”

And even in the toughest of times, Lee said Belinda managed to find humour.

“There was one moment when she looked at me and said ‘I didn’t think Georgia would pick you,’ and I was like, ‘this is awkward! But then she said ‘No, no, only because you were my favourite and Georgia never picks my favourite,” Lee said.
