Off the back of Beyoncé’s internet-breaking baby announcement this morning, in which the pop star revealed she was pregnant with twins, Zoë Foster Blake has followed suit with her own pregnancy announcement, and it looks like she was very much inspired by the way Beyoncé broke her news.

“When @beyonce and I fell pregnant at the exact same time, we were so happy,” the author and beauty guru wrote on Instagram. “We made a best friend pact to announce the news with high-concept, oversaturated floral imagery and mismatched lingerie on the SECOND of February.”

“But not only did my ‘best friend’ announce her pregnancy on the FIRST of February, she added an extra baby to make sure HER announcement was more special. Unfortunately, as you can see, news of her betrayal came through mid-photo shoot, but you get the gist.”

Zoë also hilariously recreated her own version of Beyoncé’s shoot, which pretty much has all the same details as Bey’s, but, uh, is a little less polished, and shows Zoë’s frustration at Beyoncé breaking their ‘pact.’

Hamish Blake, Zoë’s husband, also hilariously commented on the photo, writing, “OMG congrats I had seen you begin to glow around the house but a gentleman never asks.”

Zoë and Hamish are already parents to Sonny Blake, two, who has pretty much become an Instagram star in his own right thanks to his appearances on his parents’ social media accounts.

“I can’t believe how lucky we are to live with him. At least until he’s 17 and gets sick of us squishing him and runs away,” Hamish told TV Week of his son.

The radio host also spoke about the reason behind the sweet snaps he and Zoe share on social media, explaining, “He makes our day, every minute of the day, and if you can give someone a laugh or a smile, I’ve got no problem with that!”

In 2013, they also announced they were expecting Sonny with their signature humour in 2013, when Hamish posed as a sonogram.

As she comes from a large family, Zoë had often spoken about giving Sonny a sibling, but as recently as September last year she had said they were in no rush to add to their family.

The author, whose novel The Wrong Girl was adapted into a TV series for Network Ten, has also been open about the struggles she experienced while pregnant with Sonny. She said she faced serious health issues, including severe morning sickness, gestational diabetes and Ostetis Pubis.

While she was pregnant with Sonny she was also busy launching her successful skincare line, Go-To Skincare, proving she’s the ultimate multi-tasker.

Congratulations to one of Australia’s most-loved families!

We’re sure Zoë and Hamish will continue to keep their hundreds of thousands of fans up to date with their second child.
