After a spectacular Trooping the Colour, Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are continuing with a Service of Thanksgiving held at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral.
However, though the 96-year-old monarch made a regal appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Thursday’s event, she was represented instead by her family due to health reasons, including a very happy Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan was a vision in an off-white coat dress and hat.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))Whilst Harry was dapper in a suit and his military badges, Meghan was a vision in an off-white coat dress and matching hat, with her hair slicked back in a low bun.
She accessorised the look with a pair of very significant earrings – the sparkling pair were the same ones she wore for her first solo engagement as a royal as well as the ones she wore for the 2020 Commonwealth Day service, her final one as a senior royal.
However the Duke and Duchess of Sussex weren’t the only royals in attendance to mark Her Majesty’s remarkable 70 years on the throne.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))Whilst the Trooping the Colour balcony appearance was limited only to senior members of the working family, the Service of Thanksgiving was open to all.
Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, who wore a pale yellow Emelia Wickstead dress and Philip Treacy chic hat for the event, were photographed upon entry to the cathedral.
Also attending were Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, James, Viscount Severn, Zara and Mike Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank and Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Princess Eugenie opted for a vibrant orange frock.

(Credit: (Image: Getty))Shortly after Thursday’s Trooping the Colour, Buckingham Palace revealed that the Queen would not be at the service due to health reasons.
“The Queen greatly enjoyed today’s Birthday Parade and Flypast but did experience some discomfort,” the statement read.
“Taking into account the journey and activity required to participate in tomorrow’s National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded that she will not attend.”

(Credit: (Image: Getty))She did however lead the lighting of the Principal Beacon at Windsor Castle, her primary residence ever since the pandemic hit, on Thursday evening.
The Queen’s Green CanopyTree of Trees outside Buckingham Palace will form the Principal Beacon throughout the weekend’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
