Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark have proven they’re still very much in love after 18 years of marriage in a rare video released on Sunday.
The clip shows the royal couple beaming at one another as they dance and laugh at a special royal event at Christiansborg Castle in Denmark.
Dressed in a vibrant pink gown, the Australian-born princess looked like she had stepped straight out of a fairytale as she twirled with her husband.
Mary recycled the stunning David Andersen gown for the evening, having previously worn it to a gala dinner honouring Denmark’s Armed Forces in September 2017, and accessorised with the same tiara she wore on her wedding day.

“So when it struck 23.30, the quadrille dance of five rounds was carried out in the Knight’s Hall at Christiansborg Castle with the participation of the evening’s hosts The Crown Prince Couple and Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte and several other guests at the evening party for the government, the Parliament and the Danish members of the European Parliament.”
Another post explained that the event is a long-held tradition in the royal family’s calendar, dating all the way back to 1958, 10 years before Frederik was even born.

Now Frederik is very much grown up and looking every part a future king with his future queen on his arm.
Since Mary married into the Danish royal family in 2004, she has worked hard to adapt to the local culture, learning the language and customs in the first years of her marriage.
These days she can speak Danish fluently, though her and Frederik’s four children joked earlier this year that she still has a touch of her Australian accent.

Speaking candidly about their mother for a Danish documentary in honour of her 50th birthday in February, the children revealed they had inherited her sense of humour.
“She has an Australian accent, so there are some words she says a bit funny,” explained Princess Isabella, 14, in Danish, adding that the whole family teases Mary for her pronunciation.
Prince Christian, 16, added: “Sometimes, if she wants to say ‘put the dog in its basket’, it always turns into, ‘the dog lies in its hook’.”
Twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine also teased their mother in the clips, though Mary took it with her signature good humour.
