Prince Edward and Countess Sophie of Wessex's best family photos

The Queen's youngest son and youngest grandchildren are a tight-knit unit.

As a mother of four and grandmother of eight, the Queen is very much the matriarch of the British royal family.
However, her youngest son Prince Edward and wife Countess Sophie of Wessex usually keep themselves and their two children out of the spotlight.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex are proud parents to Lady Louise Windsor, born in 2003 and James, Viscount Severn, born in 2007 making them the Queen and Prince Philip's youngest grandchildren.
Though the family of four reside at Bagshot Park, a 17th-century estate near Windsor and have been taking on more royal duties since Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan stepped back, they're not exactly high-profile.
Both Louise and James, with approval from the Queen, do not have royal titles bestowed on them and live generally normal lives. In fact, Lady Louise wasn't even aware that her grandmother was the most famous woman in Britain for years.
"Well, for Louise, actually, it was much more of a shock to the system," Countess Sophie told the BBC in 2016.
"It was only when she was coming home from school and saying, 'Mummy, people keep on telling me that grandma is the queen.' And I asked her, 'Yes, how does that make you feel?' And she said, 'I don't understand.'"
