The Duchess of Cambridge made a rare appearance during her maternity leave on Sunday, when she joined her royal family to attend church.
Duchess Catherine was pictured travelling to Crathie Kirk parish in Scotland, with her grandmother-in-law the Queen beside her and her husband Prince William in the front passenger seat.
The Duchess looked elegant in a Catherine Walker coatdress and hat, but it was her jewellery which gave royal watchers delight.
The 36-year-old had dipped into her royal grandmother-in-law's jewellery box to to borrow a pair of peal earrings. But not just any earrings, the Queen's special Bahrain pearl and diamond drop earrings that were first given to the monarch as a wedding gift.

For the church outing, the Queen wore a stunning kingfisher blue ensemble and matched the Duchess also in pearl earrings.

But Duchess Catherine isn't the only royal to borrow from the Queen's jewellery box, Duchess Meghan has also had the privilege of wearing the royal's jewels.
At her wedding to Prince Harry, the newest Duchess wore a tiara, the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau, from the Queen's jewellery vault which previously belonged to Her Majesty's grandmother, Queen Mary.

The newlywed was then seen sporting a pair of very similar pearl earrings to the Queen's on the pairs first outing together.
It's believed the monarch gave her new granddaughter-in-law an elegant pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings for the occasion, which appeared to be a smaller version of her own.
The Queen also gifts jewels. It's thought the earrings worn by Meghan in Cheshire were a present from her royal grandmother.
