Win a replica royal wedding just like Harry and Meghan’s valued at $22,550

Here at Woman's Day we have marvelled over every step leading up to and during the wedding of the year. So much so we want to give one lucky winner the opportunity to relive the magic!

As we “oohed” and “aahed” over the gown, the guests, cheeky George and Charlotte, and the beauty that was Harry and Meghan’s wedding, we had an idea… Why don’t we bring together some of our favourite designers and cake makers to recreate the Royal Wedding for our readers?

Many thanks to the team who stayed up for days following the wedding to sew, bake, decorate and create these prizes so as to give one lucky Woman’s Day reader the royal experience! From the dress, to the cake and tiara, you could be the winner of this amazing prize, valued at $22,550, all you have to do is enter below.

THE DRESS, valued at $10,000

Once dubbed the Valentino of Australia, Rhonda Hemmingway is a highly acclaimed couturier with a passion for creating perfectly cut, made-tomeasure gowns for weddings and formal occasions. Rhonda is no stranger to celebrity and royal weddings. In 2012, she made gowns for the bridal party of Princess Sinaitakala Fakafanua of Tonga. Rhonda’s second royal wedding was in 2014 for Count Anton Andreas von Faber-Castell and Kate Stahl in Bavaria, Germany.

“I had expected the dress to be quite simple so I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I think Meghan’s choices were all spot on and that hand-embroidered veil was magnificent,” said Rhonda of the gown. It took her and her team three days and 40 metres of double lined Valentino faille fabri to recreate the Givenchy-inspired wedding dress.

THE CAKE, valued at $5,000

At the top tier of her specialty globally, Anthea Leonard has transformed cake making into culinary art with her edible creations including a life-size copy of Queen Elizabeth II costing more than $11,000. Anthea opened Sweet Art in Randwick NSW in 1979, which then moved to Oxford Street. She is still at the top of her game, with a long list of A-list celebrity clients including Princess Diana and Prince Charles, Princess Mary of Denmark, Elton John, Nicole Kidman and Malcolm Turnbull.

Anthea recreated the lemon and elderflower wedding cake using 48 eggs, 20 lemons, 1 litre of elderflower syrup, 5kg of butter and 3.6kg of icing sugar in an impressive four days.
