Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why Australian beaches are so unique?

Our crystal blue waves and sun-kissed, golden sands are what we’re known for around the globe, that and a thick, black food spread made from leftover yeast.

We have a staggering 10,685 beaches in Australia in total and deep down we know that every one of them is the best in the world.

Officially however, only ONE of our beaches (yep, just one) has been ranked as one of the world’s best beaches… and it’s surprisingly not Bondi or Whitehaven beach.

Manly Beach has been ranked at number 16 on TripAdvisor’s best beaches for 2018 list.

The website doesn’t share how the list was complied, so we can only assume it was by someone who has never been to a beach before.

Manly?! The best beach in Australia? SERIOUSLY?
